On September 8, 2019 Poti Free Industrial Zone hosted the government delegation from Turkmenistan led by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, Mr. Karar Mammedov. The Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Mr. Muhammed Geldi Sardarov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia Mr. Dovletmurat Muratov, the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkmenistan, Mr. Mamuka Murjikneli, the head of Turkmenbashi port and other cabinet representatives were also within the delegation. Within the meeting frames, information about Poti Free Industrial Zone operation, current legislative and tax benefits was provided to the delegates. Furthermore, bilateral investment opportunities as well as issues of future cooperation were discussed. During the visit, delegates viewed the existing enterprises of Poti FIZ and got familiar with current construction processes.
